Janiea has used the skills she learned from the mass communication program to promote various events for SU clubs, organizations and programs including Campus Activities Network, the Black Student Union and Residence Life. Janiea plans to work within the field of public relations, and she hopes to move to Baltimore, Md. or Philadelphia, Pa. after graduation where she can further utilize her knowledge and communication skills for an urban non-profit organization.

After years of hard work, Bobby landed a leading role in Broadway's Toni award-winning "Jersey Boys," playing Nick Massi in the musical, the story of Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Famers The Four Seasons. Spencer, who now stars on Broadway in "Next to Normal" is nominated for a Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical. He delivered the commencement address at his alma mater on Mother's Day, May 10, 2009, and received an honorary doctor of fine arts degree.

As a part of the fast-track program for Occupational Therapy, Autumn was able to begin her graduate work in the fall of 2008. She is on schedule to graduate with her M.S. in OT December of 2010.

Brandon is now the marketing director for Chick-fil-A in Fairfax, Virginia. While attending SU, Brandon served as President of the Student Government Association and as Buzzy D. Hornet, the school's athletic mascot. Brandon also organized the Byrd Lecture Series. In his commencement speak to his classmates he said: "Go dream big, believe in your dreams, and achieve your dreams."

"It's here where I have learned to completely focus on my craft, and have been allowed to develop and apply the skills I need to pursue my career in Musical Theatre Performance." Chelsea holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre degree.

As an Occupational Therapy graduate student, Sarah was able to do her field work in Ireland. There she had an opportunity to study differences in Irish versus American health care systems - and do some personal research on her family geneology. She specialized in geriatric health care at the Psychiatry of Later Life facility.

After graduating with a degree in kinesiology, Ron went back to Germany where he began his professional basketball career and his professional career as the athletic director at his alma mater, Giessen American High School. He is athletic director, basketball coach and PE teacher at Giessen.

Betty who earned an MBA, authored, "Wit, Wills & Walls" a book about her desegregation experiences growing up in Front Royal, VA. The book has inpsired a documentary of the same name. She is also the owner and president of Cultural Innovations. The company provides cultural education to myriad clients.
