Four Faculty Members Receive 2011 James R. and Mary B. Wilkins Appreciation Awards

President Tracy Fitzsimmons presented nine James R. and Mary B. Wilkins Appreciation Awards to outstanding employees during yesterday’s full faculty meeting and the full staff meeting this morning. The James R. and Mary B. Wilkins Appreciation Awards are annually presented to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the development of the reputation of the university, implemented major cost-saving ideas, shown outstanding leadership in difficult situations and/or achieved distinction or special recognition in the recipient’s occupation or profession. The 2011 Wilkins Award winners are:

•Dr. Bogdan Daraban, assistant professor of economics
• Dr. Rachel Carlson, associate director and associate professor of physician assistant studies
• Dr. Wallace Marsh, associate professor of pharmacy division of technology in education
• Dr. Brian Wigley, associate professor of kinesiology
• Kevin Anderson, baseball head coach and adjunct professor of kinesiology
• Mitch Moore, vice president for advancement
• Jamie Runyon, technology support specialist
• Laura Saville, executive assistant to the vice president for administration & finance
• Zoe Anne Vaughan, mailroom clerk
