The School of Health Professions relies on the deep experiences of a future-focused faculty and hands-on experiences in clinical rotations. The school includes six divisions: athletic training, nursing, respiratory care, occupational therapy, physical therapy and physician assistant studies.

The Apple Distinguished Program designation is reserved for programs that are recognized centers of educational excellence and leadership.    


Consultant PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP is interviewing key stakeholders and stakeholder groups regarding issues integral to creation of a medical school for the university.    


Shenandoah University nursing alumna Lisa Cantore ’04, BSN, MSN PNP-C APRN received a Virginia Magnet Consortium Award for Clinical Practice in Nursing on Sept. 24 at the Virginia Nurses Association Gala “Celebrating Nursing Excellence” in Richmond, Va.    


Shenandoah University was one of just two universities specifically cited for excellent programs.     


An article co-authored by student Aurora Anderson, Physician Assistant Studies Program Class of 2012, appears in the March 2011 issue of the magazine, Neurology.    


Grants from the Marion Park Lewis Foundation will help Shenandoah University connect more community members –young and old –with the performing arts.    


Under the theme “Help Us Help Others,” the first-year class selected the Free Medical Clinic as the local beneficiary of a portion of the proceeds.

Following the Jan. 12 earthquake in Haiti, Cindy & Jerry Saint-Fort wanted to go home to their parents in the Haitian capital of Port-au-Prince, but they knew they needed to stay at Shenandoah to work on their education.
