Student Kyle Feldman has been nominated for the Allstate American Football Coaches Association Good Works team in selections announced this week by the AFCA. Feldman, a wide receiver/tight end, is one of 132 nominees for the national Good Works team. The award recognizes the selfless contributions collegiate football players, and this is the 20th year the AFCA has honored student-athletes for their work in their communities. The award is considered the highest community service honor a player can earn.
Feldman earned Capital One All-District III honors for the Hornets last season after making four catches for 46 yards in nine games. A graduate student in physical therapy, Feldman earned a 3.92 GPA as an undergraduate. He begins the PT program this fall. Off the field, he serves as the president of Circle K, The Swarm (Shenandoah's spirit club) and Students Helping Honduras.
He is also a member of the Health Professions Organization, vice president of Service for the Citizen Scholar program, a Student Ambassador, the Alpha Lambda Delta historian, Alpha Chi member and recipient of the Gerald A. Goodman Award from the Kiwanis Club for Circle K. Feldman is a member of the Omicron Delta Kappa leadership and the Psi Chi Psychology honor societies. He has participated in service projects such as Harvest of Hope and is an Evans Home volunteer.
Feldman has been named to the Dean’s List four times and USA South All-Academic the past three years.
