Chinese
New Year Celebration
On February 2, 2001, the 37
members of the Chinese Student Association (CSA)
hosted a Chinese New Year Celebration in the
Allen Dining Hall. The CSA invited over 100
guests to share in the festivities. The evening
featured an authentic Chinese meal made by the
students.
 |
The students arranged a talent show
which consisted of activities like
Chinese dance, calligraphy, tea ritual,
and other fun games. |
| According to Chinese Tradition,
during the Chinese New Year Celebration
the parents give the children red
envelopes with the gift of money inside.
To continue this tradition, the faculty
at SU presented the Chinese students with
red envelopes. |
