We're Golden! SU Celebrates 50 years in Winchester
We’re golden!
The phrase conjures up the hopes and dreams of a community and the individuals involved over the past 50 years in the dream to relocate the Shenandoah College and Conservatory of Music to Winchester from Dayton, Va., in the fall of 1960.
Shenandoah University today is the private, nationally recognized applied liberal arts institution that still dreams big, inviting students to join a close-knit community rich in creative energy.
With more than 3,500 students, 90 programs of study and offering bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in six schools, Shenandoah University is a dynamic academic community that reaches out to the region, the nation, and the world. The university’s commitment to service is local, but its influence is global.
