The Notification Process

Following the Admission Committee meeting, acceptance and rejection letters are sent from the Shenandoah University Office of Admissions. Alternates are also notified in writing of their status but not their ranking. When an individual refuses the offer of admission or an accepted student withdraws, the Admissions committee notifies the next alternate of his/her acceptance. An on-line survey is sent to any candidate who withdraws from applicant pool after being offered a seat.

Individuals with any outstanding prerequisites or requirements are given a conditional acceptance. The conditions of their acceptance are clearly stated in the acceptance letter. Individuals who fail to meet the conditions prior to matriculation into the program will forfeit their seat in the class.
