Physical Therapy

Shenandoah University uses PTCAS, a centralized application service for schools of physical therapy to process all applications for the DPT program. This process can only be completed by using the Internet site for PTCAS . We do not accept "paper" applications (except for current Shenandoah University pre-admit physical therapy students). Using this service will allow you to submit just one application that will be forwarded to the schools of your choice. You will pay an initial application fee and a supplemental fee (to PTCAS) for each school to which you wish to apply.

Candidates are notified in writing by the Admissions Coordinator that their files have been received and is complete. It is the responsibility of the SUPT admissions chairman to determine prerequisite substitutions and to evaluate prerequisites in question (e.g. those with atypical names), however in no cases will prerequisites be waived. This process of prerequisite substitution typically involves asking the candidate to provide a course description or syllabus to support their claim. For science prerequisites that are older than 10 years, a candidate may request to substitute work experience or graduate-level course work. The process is outlined in the admissions guidelines.
