Welcome Guidance Counselors

The SU Office of Admissions recognizes that Guidance Counselors have an important and daunting job. We hope the links provided here will help you understand the Shenandoah Admissions process as you help your students plan for their futures.

Students choose Shenandoah University for our small size advantage and academic programs. They also choose Shenandoah because they want a fun and exciting life outside the classroom. Over 30 academic clubs and organizations, 25 student clubs, and 16 NCAA Division III athletic teams provide students with a full university experience.

Shenandoah is on a “Rolling Admissions” schedule which simply means we are admitting students throughout the year. Once we have all the materials needed to complete a student’s application, we will make an admission decision. We require an application, high school transcript, SAT or ACT scores, and a letter of recommendation. We do NOT require an essay or writing sample.

Please see the links to the right for specific admissions requirements for freshmen or transfer students.

If you would like one of our counselors to make a visit to your high school, please e-mail our office and include your phone number and the best time of day to contact you.

If you have any questions about our admissions process or the programs we offer here at SU, don’t hesitate to contact us.
