It’s easy to visit SU and we would love to show you our campus. One of the best ways to learn how to “get in” and if you will “fit in” at SU is to come and spend a day on campus.
Daily Tours
The Office of Admissions offers tours of main campus daily, Monday through Friday, at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. with a Student Ambassador. We recommend you arrive in the Office of Admissions no later than 10:45 a.m for the 11 a.m tour; and no later than 1:45 p.m. for the 2 p.m. tour. E-mail or call 1-800-432-2266 and let us know which day you will be visiting.
The Office of Admissions is located in the Wilkins Administration Building, #32 on the campus map.
Private Visits
If you would like to schedule a private visit to campus, please contact your admissions counselor or the Office of Admissions . Your counselor will gladly arrange your visit. During a private visit, you will go on a campus tour with a Student Ambassador, meet with a professor in your area of interest, talk with a Coach (if you are interested in athletics), and lunch in our dining hall. Tours of our Health Professions facilities are available for prearranged visits as well.
Open House Programs
The Office of Admissions sponsors Open House events throughout the year. Each event is tailored to a particular area of study at SU. Open House events are a great way to visit campus and learn if you will “fit in.” These events include:
- Attending an Information Fair with Financial Aid, Residence Life, Athletic coaches and other various university programs
- Touring campus with a student ambassador
- Meeting deans & professors from your school of interest
- Hearing from a faculty and student discussion panel
- Eating lunch in the university dining hall
- Talking with your admissions counselor
- Conservatory students receive a complete tour of the Shenandoah Conservatory facilities and may audition on scheduled Audition Days.
To register for an event, look at Admissions Open House events for 2006-07.
