Advanced Essential Pieces

PSY 401F-101 (3 credit hours)

Description

This practicum placement is designed to provide students with the opportunity to take a leadership role uring the social group, preparation, and planning sessions associated with the Essential Pieces program. Advanced interns will provide role-modeling and instruction to regular interns who enroll in the program, and will be responsible for direct communication with Essential Pieces parents. Advanced interns also will participate in data collection and interpretation associated with Essential Pieces programming.

  • 1 position
  • Offered in both Fall and Spring semesters

Special Prerequisites

  • Successful completion of "Essential Pieces" practicum (PSY 401B-101)

Expectations and Requirements

  • 120 hours including all assigned tasks completed at site
  • Detailed journal of all activities, experiences, and observations
  • 1- to 2-page reflection paper on your overall practicum experience at the site and how you believe it will be relevant to your future and/or professional goals
  • Completion of "Supervisor and Site Assessment" form
