Veteran coach Lois Bowers returns to
Shenandoah for her fourth year as the Head Field Hockey and Women's
Lacrosse coach and is looking forward to continuing the success of
her new field hockey program. Bowers
came to Shenandoah from Gettysburg College, where she worked from
1969 until she took early retirement in 1992. From 1978-92, Bowers
served as the Bullets women's lacrosse and field hockey coach, the
position she now holds at SU. Bowers also served as the GC women's
athletic coordinator from 1984-92. Bowers
was 102-81-25 with a 1980 national championship in those 14 seasons at Gettysburg while
going 72-50-3 with her lacrosse program.
The 2004 Hornets finished first their
first full varsity season with a 4-7 record, a record that included
a three-game win streak in the middle of the season. E-Mail
