Hornets first ever first team All-American enters his final year looking to defend his NCAA Division III batting title... As a junior: took the Dixie Conference by storm this season, winning the league's Triple Crown with a .506 average, 15 home runs and 67 RBI... all are new school records for Shenandoah, as is his 19 doubles... was named first team All-Dixie at third base, just missing out to conference Player of the Year honors... was 2 for 3 with a home run against 2000 Dixie Player of the Year Jason Dooley from Averett... also was 2-2 on the mound with a 7.94 ERA in six appearances... defeated Averett 17-6 with 10 strikeouts to put SU in the Dixie Tournament Championship on April 21... was named Dixie Player of the Week twice this season... was named both first team All-South and All-American after winning the NCAA batting title with a .506 average...
