Head Men's Golf Coach

Shorter College '81

Year at SU: 2nd

The Shenandoah University golf team returned to the leadership of a Professional Golfer's Association (PGA) Teaching Professional with the selection of Scott Singhass as head coach in August 2006.

Singhass, who had assisted former coach Rob Kulton for the 2005-06 season, now takes over the job on a permanent basis.

In addition to nearly 25 years of experience as a club and teaching professional, Singhass also served as the head coach of local high school power John Handley High School from 2002 through 2004. In this role, Singhass led the Judges to regular season and district tournament titles in 2003 and was later named Northwestern District Coach of the Year for his efforts.

Singhass has served as an assistant or head golf professional at four different clubs, including Winchester (Va.) Country Club and Grand Cypress Resort in Orlando, Florida. Singhass was responsible for all aspects of running a pro shop during his tenures at these clubs, including tournament administration and running golf and individual lessons.
