The Shenandoah University golf team
returned to the leadership of a Professional Golfer's Association (PGA)
Teaching Professional with the selection of Scott Singhass as head
coach in August 2006.
Singhass, who had assisted former coach
Rob Kulton for the 2005-06 season, now takes over the job on a
permanent basis.
In addition to nearly 25 years of
experience as a club and teaching professional, Singhass also served
as the head coach of local high school power John Handley High
School from 2002 through 2004. In this role, Singhass led the Judges
to regular season and district tournament titles in 2003 and was
later named Northwestern District Coach of the Year for his efforts.
Singhass has served as an assistant or
head golf professional at four different clubs, including Winchester
(Va.) Country Club and Grand Cypress Resort in Orlando, Florida.
Singhass was responsible for all aspects of running a pro shop
during his tenures at these clubs, including tournament
administration and running golf and individual lessons.
