WINCHESTER, Va. (January 13,
2001) - The women fall for the first time in
three games Saturday afternoon, losing 93-54 to
Christopher Newport in the Hornets Dixie
Conference opener. Shenandoah is plagued by a 21-64
(32.8 percent) performance from the line and also
turned the ball over 24 times. Freshman Bridget
Robbins (Baker, W. Va./East Hardy- led with a
career high 12 points.

Newport Saturday afternoon, losing 96-62 to the
No. 9 team in the nation. Shenandoah was down
just 42-38 at the break, but shot an anemic 9-38
(23.7 percent) in the second half to fall for the
fifth straight game.
Junior Craig Shelton (Charlottesville,
Va./Charlottesville) led the way for the Hornets
in the scoring column with a career high 25
points.
