Swept in Sunday Doubleheader
Lose 9-3 and 2-0 to Pitt-Bradford
WINCHESTER,
Va.
– The baseball team could not extend its winning streak to three
Sunday afternoon as Pitt-Bradford swept SU 9-3 and 2-0 in non-league
action.
Shenandoah (2-5) was seeking
to build on Saturday’s 4-2 win over Franklin & Marshall with a
pair of contests against the Panthers (5-1). Unfortunately,
Pitt-Bradford held its hosts to just seven total hits in the two
games.
Dusty Crostic (Chesterfield,
Va./LC Bird) and Shane Lloyd (Alexandria
,
Va./Hayfield)
each had two hits on the day. Crostic was 2 for 3 with an RBI in
game one while Lloyd had two hits in three at-bats in the nightcap.
Lloyd also turned in a solid game defensively; he threw out three of
five runners trying to steal and also picked an additional two
runners off.
