SUNY-Delhi Defeats Golf

WINCHESTER , Va. – Homecoming was sweet for one member of the State University of New York at Delhi golf program member as the Broncos defeated homestanding Shenandoah 325-335 in a non-league dual match Monday afternoon.

SUNY-Delhi, an NAIA program, is coached by former SU Head Coach and 1990 Shenandoah graduate Dave Arehart. Arehart made his first return trip to Winchester Country Club a memorable one as his four scoring golfers shot 78, 80, 80 and 87 over the 6321 yard, par 71 WCC Course.

Shenandoah was led by three men who all carded a 12-over-par 83: senior Jason Aud (Mount Airy, Md./Frederick CC) and sophomores Bryon Pitts (Nokesville, Va./Homeschool) and  Kevin Richards (Denville, N.J./Morris Knolls). Junior Dallas Strait (Greencastle, Pa./Greencastle) rounded out the Hornets scoring with an 86.

Shenandoah is now off until traveling to Bridgewater next Wednesday.
