Men’s Tennis
BALTIMORE, Md. - The Shenandoah University men's tennis team saw its three
match winning streak stopped Wednesday afternoon with a 6-1 loss at
Goucher College.
Goucher (9-7) swept all three doubles matches and then took five of six
singles events to easily dispatch the Hornets (3-9). SU had won its
last three matches, all in Dixie Conference play, after starting the
season 0-8.
Freshman Alex Bhaskarla (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) was the only winner for
Shenandoah. He defeated David Vermeir 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 at No. 5
singles.

SU is now off until this weekend when the Hornets compete in the Dixie
Conference Tournament.

Tuesday afternoon at Lakeview Golf Course, but it was not enough as

Lakeview Lake and Spring nines with a six-over-par 78. Sophomores
Tim Detweiler (Manassas,
Va./Middle
Tennessee
State) and Kevin Richards (Denville, N.J./Morris Knolls)
shot 80 while Byron Pitts (Nokesville,
Va./Home school) rounded out the scoring golfers with an 82.
Shenandoah completes its spring season this weekend with the Dixie
Conference Tournament at Danville Country Club in
