Men’s Golf

WINCHESTER, Va. – The golf team continued its strong showing in its fall matches with a 328-362 dual meet victory over visiting Marymount University Tuesday afternoon.

Sophomore Kevin Richards (Denville, N.J./Morris Knolls) earned medalist honors with a five-over-par 76 over the 6341 yard, par 71 Winchester Country Club course. Classmate Chris Fraser (Ogdensburg, N.Y./Ogdensburg) carded an 83, senior Jason Aud ( Mount Airy , Md. /Frederick CC) 84 and sophomore Bryon Pitts (Nokesville, Va./Home School) an 85 to round out the Hornets scoring.

Andrew Buthorn led Marymount with an 80.

The golfers will now compete in the Greensboro College Invitational over the weekend. Play begins with Friday’s practice round.

Women’s Soccer

WINCHESTER , Va. – The women’s soccer team once again was shut out Tuesday afternoon; the Hornets fell 11-0 to Division II Shepherd.

The Rams (3-5) pelted SU keeper Dana D’Agostino (Wantage, N.J./High Pointe Regional) with 20 shots in scoring the 11 goals. D’Agostino made four saves on the afternoon.

SU (1-9) was held to just three shots on the day, two by Shannon Revels ( Spotsylvania , Va. / Spotsylvania ) and one from Jenny Driver ( Staunton , Va. /Fort Defiance ).

Shenandoah is in action again on Thursday when host Southern Virginia at 4:00 .
