– The women’s soccer team fell for the second time in three days
Wednesday afternoon as Ferrum took a 5-0 Dixie Conference victory.
Ferrum

scored all five of its goals in a 14 minute span early in the second
half. The Panthers outshot Shenandoah (2-12, 0-5) 22-4 for the
contest.
Goalkeeper
Dana D’Agostino (Wantage, N.J./High Pointe Regional) made five
saves.

– The men’s soccer team struggled as much as their female
counterparts Wednesday evening in a 6-0 loss at
Christopher
Newport
University
.
No.
16 in the nation CNU (13-2, 5-0) jumped on the Hornets for two goals
in the first six minutes of play and then cruised to the win with four
second half tallies.
The
contest was a physical one with 31 fouls called and four red cards
(two for each team) issued.
Shenandoah
(7-4, 2-2) was held to just seven shots in the contest. Sophomore
keeper Brian Cline (
Woodstock
,
Va.
/Central)
had seven saves in the losing effort.
