– The men’s soccer team completed its season
Friday evening with a 2-0 loss to second seeded
Greensboro
College
in the Dixie
Tournament semi-finals.
Greensboro
(14-4) advanced
to Saturday’s final on the strength of goals in the 26th
and 87th minutes and a solid defensive effort. The Pride
outshot Shenandoah (
9-7-2
) 14-4 for the
game and allowed just two shots on goal.

keeper Tom Malinosky (
Clearwater

/Clearwater Catholic) made six saves in the contest.

– The volleyball team also was unable to pull off
an opening round upset Friday afternoon; No. 4 Methodist eliminated
Shenandoah with a 3-0 (30-24, 30-27, 20-24) sweep.
The
Hornets (10-22) received a balance effort from its seven players;
all five attacking players had at least four kills with sophomore
Hannah Williams’ (

/Glenvar) eight kills leading the way.

) had a team high
19 digs to lead on defense.
