FREDERICK, Md. (December 2,
2000) - The SU women's basketball team won the
Hood College Tournament for the second straight
season, defeating the host Blazers 75-58 in
Saturday afternoon's final. The Hornets were down
33-29 at the break but shot 57.1 percent from the
field in the second half to grab the championship.
Wendy Legge, who was a perfect 8 for 8 from the
field and led all scorers with 22 points, was the
tournament MVP while Carrie Weimer and Adina
Trammel joined her on the All-Tournament team.
