Scott Musa is in his 13th year at Shenandoah and his 11th as the
Hornets primary media contact.
A 1992 graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Musa came to SU
to be an assistant men's lacrosse coach. After two years of
coaching, former AD Dave Dutton named Musa the department's first
full-time SID. In 1999, he was promoted to assistant athletic
director.
In this role, Musa is in charge of publicity for all of the
Hornets 16 intercollegiate teams and the athletic web site.
He is a member of both the College Sports Information Directors
of America (CoSIDA) and the Virginia State Sports Information
Directors Association (VaSID) and serves as the vice president of
the latter organization. On campus, Musa serves on the Student
Retention and Programs Council at the University and is a voting
member of the President's Executive Council.
Musa has been honored by the university twice for staff
excellence. In 1999, he won the Wilkins Award and in 2002 he was one
of three staff members to be recognized with a special award by the
chairman of the Board of Trustees.
