WORK OFF THANKSGIVING AND HAVE FUN DOING IT

In between your Thanksgiving dinner and the Christmas cookies in your future, dance! A barn dance – quite possibly the first-ever barn dance at Shenandoah – begins at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, in the Brandt Student Center, Ferrari Room. No dancing experience is required. This is a simple, fun, social event. The more, the merrier.

Great old-time music is by the Critton Hollow Stringband, and caller Janine Smith will provide easy-to-follow instructions. The entire campus community is invited to learn this old-fashioned social dancing. Admission is free for students and employees with SU I.D. cards; general admission for others is only $5. Contact music and FYS professor Michael Maher at mmaher@su.edu or visit It’s a Barn Dance on Facebook.
