Shenandoah University was picked tied for fifth and tied for seventh in a pair of ODAC pre-season indoor track & field polls released Friday morning by the league office.

The Hornets, preparing for their second seasons of ODAC Track competition, were picked tied for fifth on the women’s side and tied for seventh on the men’s. Roanoke is the pre-season pick of the league’s women coaches with 48 points and six of a possible seven first-place votes. On the men’s side, Lynchburg has a perfect 49 points as it gathered all seven possible first place votes.

Votes are awarded on a 1-7 basis and coaches cannot vote for their own team in the poll. Shenandoah, with 22 points, is tied with Virginia Wesleyan in the women’s poll. Shenandoah has 14 points to tie with Guilford for seventh place in the men’s poll. Both Shenandoah teams open their respective indoor campaigns next Saturday at the CNU Invitational in Newport News.
