Shenandoah University’s chapter of Alpha Chi is sponsoring a book drive from Dec. 7 through Dec. 19, with a portion of the donation proceeds benefiting the Arbor Day Rainforest Rescue program. Every year, books are thrown away when the bookstore does not buy them back. Boxes have been placed outside the bookstore on the main campus, in the office at Halpin-Harrison Hall and in the lobby outside the Academic Enrichment Center in Gregory-Howe hall. Acceptable donations include college textbooks in all fields, any books used in a college classroom, workbooks with no missing pages, dictionaries, reference books, atlases, novels (hardback or paperback) and music sheets. Books in poor condition will not be accepted. Questions? Contact Alpha Chi Vice President Megan McIntyre at email@example.com.
