CAMPUS THRIFT STORE – WHERE EVERYTHING IS FREE – REOPENS MONDAY

The Shenandoah Salvage Co. reopens at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 14, in its new location at Cooley Hall, Room 204. Regular shop hours are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and Thursdays from 1 to 5 p.m. The on-campus thrift store – where everything is free – offers students and employees an incredible range of merchandise, including school supplies, office supplies, household items, clothes, jewelry and non-perishable food items. The shop does not accept large furniture, broken items or any item that has a Shenandoah identification tag.

The Shenandoah Salvage Co.’s success depends on the generosity of individuals who have things to give, as well as the thriftiness of shoppers who appreciate that free is good for them and re-using is good for the environment.
