Every spring, Colleges Against Cancer (CAC) of Shenandoah University hosts Relay For Life, an overnight event when teams get together to honor and celebrate those currently battling cancer, those who have passed away from cancer, survivors of cancer and caregivers. Throughout the year, the group raises money for the American Cancer Society. Then, teams walk for the cause on the evening of the event.
If you are comfortable sharing your story, university students, faculty or staff members who are currently fighting cancer or have survived it are encouraged to reach out to the Relay For Life Committee. The group would like to keep you in mind as they plan their event. Please contact CAC President Shelby DeHaven at [email protected] or Relay For Life Chair of Survivorship Jean Manuel-Tayag at [email protected].
