C-SPAN’s “Campaign 2012” Bus visits Shenandoah’s campus Thursday, September 13.
“To have Shenandoah University receive national exposure over the C-SPAN network is really something special,” said Chair of the Political Science Department Dr. William Shendow. “The opportunity to have students engage in discussion about important political topics on a national stage is invaluable, and one that I’m sure they won’t forget.”
This opportunity is in connection with a visit by the C-SPAN “Campaign 2012” Bus, which is free and open to the entire campus community from 10 a.m. to noon on Sept. 13. However, its primary mission is to educate Shenandoah students interested in government and the political process. The “Campaign 2012” bus is designed to provide an interactive, self-guided multimedia experience demonstrating C-SPAN’s offerings and unique campaign coverage.
The bus features examples of C-SPAN’s campaign coverage in both high-definition (HD) and standard- definition (SD), kiosks demonstrating C-SPAN’s many web-based offerings including access to the network’s 170,000+ hours searchable video archive-Video Library, Campaign 2012 information and trivia and opportunities to stay connected with C-SPAN on social media platforms.
