Ensemble Overload Credit Procedure

Purpose:
Students who are already enrolled in at least one (l) ensemble
and are requested by an Ensemble Director to perform in
additional ensembles should receive credit for the overload
charges related thereto. Students may be requested to perform in
additional ensembles by Ensemble Directors for the following
reasons:
l) Balance in instrumentation
2) Balance in voice parts
3) Advanced expertise
Procedure:
Ensemble directors must obtain the approval of the Dean of the
Conservatory prior to requesting students to perform in
additional ensembles. The Ensemble Director and the Dean of the
Conservatory must approve an "Ensemble Overload Credit Form"
for each ensemble performance request. Students must register for
all ensembles.
The Business Office will make any necessary overload credit
adjustments upon receipt of an approved "Ensemble Overload
Credit Form". Overload ensemble credits are limited to 4
hours per student per semester. All "Ensemble Overload
Credit Forms" must be delivered to the Business Office by
the Friday after Drop/Add.
