As part of Shenandoah University’s commitment to upholding the letter and spirit of the laws that ensure equal treatment of people with disabilities, the university recognizes and adheres to the mandates of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. It is the policy of Shenandoah University that no otherwise qualified individual is denied reasonable and appropriate access to or participation in any program or activity of the university because of a disability. Pursuant to this policy, the university’s Disabilities Services office (located in the Academic Enrichment Center, Howe 204) is a resource for students, faculty and staff. Any individual who believes he or she has a disability covered under disability laws can provide the requisite documentation and request accommodations and resources from Disability Services.
