Church Music Institute

A unique workshop experience. June 17-22, 2012 and June 24-29, 2012

Goodsen Chapel at night

Shenandoah University's Church Music Institute (CMI) will take place June 17 - June 29, 2012 on the campus of Shenandoah University.

Our goal is to equip church music leaders by providing valuable resources, hands on experience, and one-on-one training.

During CMI, church music leaders can earn credits toward a degree or certificate (either graduate or undergraduate), explore a wide variety of music types and worship resources, receive personal attention from clinicians made possible by the small setting, and learn from nationally known church music leaders. The primary emphasis for 2012 is instruments in worship; however, participants will also learn to successfully lead adult volunteer choirs, plan worship, ring handbells, and play service music and hymns. We look forward to having you, and worshiping with you at this year’s Church Music Institute.
