String Quartet
The Graduate String Quartet program culminates in a Arist Diploma under the mentoring of Shenandoah's resident quartet, The Audubon Quartet. The program consists of weekly coachings by various members of the Audubon Quartet plus a full tuition and a $1,000 a year stipend along with mulitple performance opportunities.
The selected quartets will pursue quartet studies with Shenandoah Conservatory Audubon Quartet members. Students present one full performance every semester of their two-year required residency. In addition, the quartet will participate and serve as the core for the Shenandoah Conservatory Symphony Orchestra, will participate in recruitment activities by the Conservatory and will represent the university in fund-raising and community activities.
