The Master of Music in Church Music
is designed for the professional church
musician who wishes to extend his or her knowledge and skills in the field.
Degrees are offered in both Organ
and Voice
options.
Entrance
Requirements: Church
Music applicants must hold a baccalaureate degree with a minimum grade point
average of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) in music and have completed six credits in
Shenandoah University's Summer Church Music Institute or the equivalent.
Degree
Requirements: The
degree requirement is 30 credit hours with grades of B or better in required
courses and a grade point average of 3.000.
Students must complete
both of the following:
MUPP 531 -
Half Recital (in organ or voice) - 1 credit
MUPP 531 - Half Recital (in conducting) - 1 credit
Students may
elect to complete a Thesis as portion of their electives. if chosen,
students follow the requirements described in the Shenandoah
Conservatory Thesis and Research/Teaching Project
Guidelines.
