Opportunities

Shenandoah's
ensembles present more than 300 concerts and recitals each year
in a variety of settings. The Jazz-specific ensembles (Jazz
Ensemble,
Stage Band, the
Jazz Lab Band, the Jazz Trombone Ensemble and the Jazz Guitar Ensemble),
together with numerous jazz combos, pit orchestras for shows and
operas, the large concert band, wind ensemble, symphony orchestra,
chamber groups and student recitals all offer many opportunities
to perform.
Shenandoah
jazz groups also participate in tours, jazz festivals, conventions,
artist series, concerts, and dances around the world.
The Jazz Ensemble and Stage Band average twenty-five performances
each year, including on-campus concerts and numerous off-campus
appearances at jazz festivals, conventions, artist series, and dances.
The Jazz Ensemble has played at the Embassy of Japan, and has toured
extensively overseas, including trips to Sweden, China, Japan, Iceland,
and throughout Europe.
The
