Theatre Degree Programs

   The Conservatory's theatre programs prepare students for professional careers as actors, actor-singer-dancers, and designers.

The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting, Bachelor of Fine Arts in Costume Design,and Bachelor of Fine Arts in Scenic and Lighting Design provide an excellent balance of theatre studies with many opportunities for practical experience.

The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre for Youth prepares the student to work in all areas of children's theatre, whether it be as director, producer or teacher, working with adults and/or children in theatrical productions, workshops or children's theatre companies. 

The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre, one of the oldest such programs in the United States, provides a balance of music, dance and dramatic study—with practical application in all areas—for the talented performer who seeks a career in musical theatre.  

The Bachelor of Music in Musical Theatre Accompanying, the only degree of its kind in the United States, is for the talented pianist with an interest in popular musical theatre, offering the aspiring pianist/conductor a full training course that takes advantage of the Conservatory's well-established tradition of professional music preparation as well as its intensely active theatre schedule.
