The
Shenandoah Conservatory Chamber Choir is comprised of the Conservatory's
most outstanding singers. This elite group specializes in repertoire
from the Renaissance and Contemporary periods and is critically
acclaimed and widely in demand for the authenticity of style and
purity of sound. The Chamber Choir has performed several times in
the distinguished Dumbarton Concert Series in Washington, and it
has commissioned and performed many new works.
The
Chamber Choir, which tours Europe every two years, has performed
at St. Mark's Cathedral in Venice and has sung in St. Peter's Basilica
in Rome for a Pontifical High Mass. The group has sung premiere
performances by the distinguished composer Russell Woollen and has
sung many times at the Terrace Theater in Washington's John F. Kennedy
Center for the Performing Arts.
