The mission of the School of Continuing Education is to encourage and facilitate continued intellectual development that transcends the scope of academic degree programs. The division accomplishes this purpose through the provision of courses and programs leading to personal or professional development and may result college or continuing education credits.

Easy access is the cornerstone of Continuing Education programs. To this end, courses are offered at times that fit into the learner's schedule, in communities convenient to the learner, and on-line using Internet, video, and satellite technologies.

Continuing Education responds to meet the needs of the community as they are identified by the:

• Business, Educational, and Health professional leaders,
• adult citizens of the region, and
• academic program faculty and administrators.
