Description: This course is designed to provide basic information about human growth and development from birth through early adulthood. The students taking this course have indicated their desire to become teachers at the Pre K –12 grade levels. The course will assist these prospective and practicing educators in understanding the biosocial, psychosocial and cognitive development of the children/youth they will teach. A field experience that requires 10-20 hours of an in-school assignment is associated with this course.
