Hunter Wolfe & ARE with Father’s Honor

Hunter Wolfe & ARE with Father’s Honor perform at the Bright Box (15 N. Loudoun St.). Hunter Wolfe is the National Slide Guitar Champion, two-time International Blues Challenge Showcase performer and Blues Foundation Generation Blues recipient. Wolfe’s sister, ARE, who provides rock solid drums, has shared the stage with Darrell Rose (Dave Matthews Band) and Bo Bobbic (The Clovers). Father’s Honor – Shenandoah alumni Haden Olmsted and Nate McDowell – blends a unique mix of garage, blues, rockabilly, and punk influences to their music. Doors open at 7 p.m.; show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance; $15 at the door. Legendary Jazz Bassist Eddie Gomez

Legendary Jazz Bassist Eddie Gomez  performs at the Bright Box (15 N. Loudoun St., downtown Winchester) with drummer Jimmy Cobb and pianist Larry Willis. Two-time Grammy Award winner Eddie Gomez has been on the cutting edge of music for more than four decades. His impressive resumé includes performances with jazz giants such as Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, Bill Evans, Gerry Mulligan and Benny Goodman. Gomez’s unique sound and style can be heard on many Grammy-winning records as well as on hundreds of recordings spanning the worlds of jazz, classical, Latin jazz, rhythm & blues, popular and contemporary music. “Cendrillon (Cinderella),” the main stage opera, is presented at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Ohrstrom-Bryant Theatre. The Shenandoah Conservatory Symphony Orchestra serves as the pit orchestra. Tickets are $15 for adults, $14 for senior citizens and $10 for non-SU students. SAAA Benefit Country Concert

SAAA Benefit Country Concert begins at 7 p.m. in the East Campus Commons ballroom and features two country bands: Tyler Toliver performs at 8 p.m., and rising star Lindsey Erin performs at 9 p.m. Erin has performed with artists such as Chase Rice, Danielle Bradberry, Bucky Covington, Parmalee, Love and Theft, Montgomery Gentry and Joe Diffie. Toliver has opened for or shared the stage with Sheryl Crow, LoCash Cowboys, Edens Edge, Joe Diffie, Colt Ford, Tracy Lawrence, James Otto, Kip Moore and multiple shows for Darryl Worley.
