Arts & Sciences, business school, conservatory and pharmacy school alumni will share their experiences while students at Shenandoah and where they are now in their careers. They will discuss the campus resources they used, what they wish they had done differently, and how Shenandoah prepared them for their careers – from a student-of-color perspective. Remembrance Day National Roll Call

Remembrance Day National Roll Call, an event to honor American servicemen and servicewomen who gave their lives in service to the nation in Operation Enduring Freedom this past year, begins at with a moment of silence at 2 p.m. in the Brandt Student Center Ferrari Room. After a brief welcome by President Tracy Fitzsimmons, there will be a reading of the names of soldiers who have passed since last year’s roll call. The ceremony is followed by a Celebration of Veterans Cookout, sponsored by the Shenandoah University veterans group, Overwatch. College Communicators Association of Virginia & the District of Columbia Conference at Shenandoah University features a keynote address on content strategy from Carolyn Kent and Matt Yuskewich of Ologie, a pre-conference workshop in media training from colleagues at George Washington University, and breakout sessions on art directing, starting a social media user group, promoting faculty research in the media, working with young writers and more.
