Foundation Rock Climbing Skills Class

Foundation Rock Climbing Skills Class, at Vertical Rock in Manassas, Va., begins when the van leaves campus at 1:30 p.m. (be back on campus around 7 p.m.). Trip is limited to 10 students who want to learn how to climb. Cost is $10 per student; payment is due Friday, Sept. 19. Winchester’s First Interfaith Concert

Winchester’s First Interfaith Concert begins at 7 p.m. in Goodson Chapel / Recital Hall. Sept. 21 is International Peace Day, and a variety of musicians representing different faiths will present music from their traditions, representing the theme of peace and faith. One of the highlights of is an original composition by David Chavez, music director at Front Royal United Methodist Church, sung by his wife, Melissa Chavez, an opera singer. The composition is based on prayers from several faith traditions. The concert is sponsored by the Valley Interfaith Council. FREE

Intramural Softball Captains’ Meeting

Intramural Softball Captains’ Meeting begins at 8 p.m. in the Brandt Student Center, Room 118. Intramural softball is played 10-on-10 with a maximum 18 people per team with a minimum of 2 male or female players always on the court.
