Welcome to the Office of Education Outreach; we offer those courses which used to be in the Continuing Education Program and we are now part of the School of Education and Human Development at Shenandoah University.

Shenandoah University's Office of Education Outreach in the School of Education and Human Development features dynamic and diverse course offerings.

We offer professional courses which are accepted by the Virginia Department for teacher licensure.  You will also see a variety of re-certification courses.  Many of these courses are available in various settings in the area, including Fredericksburg, Winchester, and Leesburg.

The Office of Education Outreach is also able to offer individualized courses for districts that meet specific needs the district may have.  We are also able to offer a variety of courses for licensure or recertification in your school.  Tuition rates vary based on a variety of factors which we are happy to discuss with you. Please review the available licensure courses which meet VDOE licensure requirements as well as courses that can be used for re-certification.

Districts may also contract with OEO to arrange sponsored sections; districts can request specific courses, enroll students, provide us with a list of enrolled students and our business office will bill districts directly.

Individual students interested in any of the courses are invited to contact us for additional information.  Registration for regular semester courses are due at least 3 days before the class begins.  Registration forms and other information are available on the web.

Once you have registered for a course, please visit the SU bookstore site to get information about the required books for the class(es). you may order these books online and have them shipped to your home or work address.

If you decide to drop a course, please be aware of specific procedures that must be followed:
