APA MANUAL
Dr. Jurgen Combs

The APA Manual is a common guide for writing research papers; many undergraduate and graduate colleges and universities across the nation use this manual is their primary one.

The APA manual is available commercially from most bookstores.  These manuals are updated on a regular basis - one that is quite old will not have current requirements, such as citing internet sources.

There is some information available on the Internet about the APA style manual; one source, provided by M. Plonsky, Ph.D. University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point offers some excellent information on his web site PSYCHOLOGY WITH STYLE A hypertext guide to writing research reports for students and instructors of experimental and research methods courses.

There is a page placed in this web server, Citations, which explains how to cite information from the Internet and provides a summary of other general APA requirements.  As always, it is best to review the actual material in the APA manual.

Another source of APA information is APA Publication Manual Crib Sheet   Another APA Style Resources, provides a summary of rules from the APA Publication Manual. The version you are reading was revised 10/10/96. The author has made every effort to keep this document accurate, but readers have occasionally pointed out errors and inconsistencies which required correction.  With thanks to Dr. Corriveau for this excellent link!
