What kinds of jobs are
there in environmental studies?
It's a question commonly asked,
particularly since
the environmental field is diverse
and, in many ways, changing rapidly.

| Hundreds of different
job titles fall under the "environment" heading. Below, grouped
by category, are some of the more common environmental careers.
This list is meant to provide an indication of the kinds of jobs available;
it is not designed to cover all fields related to environmental
studies. Majoring in environmental studies
at Shenandoah University can prepare you well for several of these careers.
However, no university offers undergraduate programs in all environmental
fields. See our program overview or the current university catalog for a description of Shenandoah's Environmental Studies Program and the particular concentrations we offer. Visit Smith Library to find reference books that describe the responsibilities and qualifications pertaining to many environmental jobs. |
