Generally, a Federal Pell Grant are awarded only to undergraduate students who have not earned a bachelor’s or professional degree. It does not have to be repaid. Eligibility for the Pell Grant is determined by the student’s Expected Family Contribution (EFC) from their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). For the 2008-2009 academic year, Pell Grants will vary from $890 to $4,731, depending on the student’s EFC and enrollment status. To be considered, students must file the FAFSA each year of their enrollment at Shenandoah University.
