To serve as a regional policy resource center and instructional institution for practitioners and students of government and an initiator of programs that promote citizenship, public service, civility and participation in the political process.


GOALS

  • Goal One - Effective Public Administrators: Provide quality, advanced educational and training opportunities so that public sector managers might have the skills and knowledge necessary to perform their jobs more effectively.
  • Goal Two - Future Citizen Leaders: Provide students with a richer understanding of politics, public policy and government so that they may become effective citizen leaders and participate more fully in the democratic process.
  • Goal Three - Public Policy Resource: Become a major governmental affairs and public policy analysis resource center for public officials and governmental organizations throughout the region.
  • Goal Four - Civic Responsibility: Develop and implement grassroots programs that successfully promote citizenship, public service, civility and political participation as an integral part of one's civic responsibility.
