3. Citations - understanding their purpose.  Why such specificity?
DUE:  Thursday 9-25-08 at the beginning of class.  Draft of Search Project One

In class - create an annotation for various types of bibliographic items including reference books, books, and articles.

Annotated Bibliographies at the University of Wisconsin, Madison and Writing an Annotated Bibliography at the University of Minnesota, Crookston provide helpful information and samples.

Hands on demonstration of a few MS Word skills crucial to creating term papers and resumes. MS Word skills test follows this session - not for credit.

Lab Activities: 
a.  Practice documents to prepare for word processing
examination to fulfill basic computer competency requirement
b.  Display and discuss examples of good and not so good visual presentations
c.  Practice creation of PowerPoint presentations
