· Selected websites organized by area of study -- What's your major?  -  everything from Accounting and American Studies to Sociology and Theatre.  These websites have been selected for their quality and stability.

· Reference - the best the internet has to offer:  almanacs, biography, book sellers and journal finders, dictionaries, encyclopedias, gateway reference sites, maps and gazetteers, quotations, statistics, Virginia, and Winchester.

· Government Information - links to the best sources of local, state, federal, and international government information.

· Directories, search engines, meta search engines  - provides links to the best subject directories, search engines, and meta search engines. 

· How to evaluate and cite information found on the web - only a small percentage of all information found on the Internet is worthy of academic use.  Here are sites that will help you find the best the web has to offer.  Tutorials on how to use search engines as well as how to effectively use the Internet as a research tool.
