New Library Resources Added

Posted 8/1/08

The University Library recently added several significant resources to its growing online collection.  Through VIVA, the Virtual Library of Virginia, Shenandoah now has access to EBSCO Information Services "Complete" package.  The databases in the package include:

In addition, Ebsco provides the following databases:

The Ebsco package replaces the smaller Galegroup - Infotrac databases, and increases our access to online content by several thousand journal titles.  Start with the premier multidisciplinary database first: log in to Academic Source Complete.

LibX SU Toolbar: Enhance your access to the LibraryÕs electronic collections!  LibX is a browser plugin for Firefox that provides direct access to the Library's resources.  Developed at Virginia Tech, the Shenandoah University version was adapted to create links to our online catalog (Webcat), Google Scholar, the Journal Locator and OCLC Worldcat.  In addition, SU LibX provides right-click context menus and embedded cues when searching websites such as Amazon and Google.  Install it today!  LibX link: http://libx.org/editions/su/libx-su.xpi

All electronic resources are available both on- and off-campus, 24 hours a day.  Some resources, such as ARTstor, require Flash and Java to function properly.
